Please be sure to register as soon as possible for the Holy Land Christian Ecumenical Foundation’s Clergy Symposium entitled “The Forgotten Faithful: Arab Christians Suffering in the Holy Land.”

Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,

Please be sure to register as soon as possible for the Holy Land Christian Ecumenical Foundation’s Clergy Symposium entitled “The Forgotten Faithful: Arab Christians Suffering in the Holy Land.”  As you know, our Christian family in the Holy Land is suffering tremendously as violence spirals, home demolitions continue, 24-hour curfews are enforced for months at a time, and a large proportion of the population lives beneath the UN standards for poverty.  There is a great opportunity for building solidarity between the Christians of the Holy Land and our congregations in the United States.  Please join us to learn from the Holy Land clergy themselves about what the members of their church need from us in terms of prayer support and partnership building.  In addition, there will be American clergy present who can testify to the work that is occurring in their churches and their schools.

Hopefully, you have already received material about the program, but if not, you may access the information online at:  https://www.hcef.org/events/index.cfm?eventid=39, to register online please click the following link: https://www.hcef.org/holy/shop/washington.html.

The event will take place on Thursday, May 8th from 10AM – 3PM at the Metropolitan Memorial United Methodist Church (MMUMC), 3401 Nebraska Ave, NW, Washington, DC 20016.

Feel free to contact Ann Michel, Director of Mission and Outreach, MMUMC at (202) 363-4900 for details or to register by phone.  Or, call Luma Haj, Administration Committee Chairperson, Holy Land Christian Ecumenical Foundation (HCEF) at (301) 951-9400.
