Birzeit Society joins with the Arab American community in the US in condemning the vicious and cowardly acts of terrorism committed against innocent civilians.
Our heartfelt condolences go out to the families of the victims who have lost their loved ones and pray for the speedy recovery of those who were injured.
We are shocked and angered by the brutality of such acts, and would like to join with our fellow American citizens in calling for the swift apprehension and punishment of the perpetrators of this crime. As we condemn the killing of innocent people in America and else where, we would like to urge everyone to stand united against such acts regardless where they might happen or under what pretext.
We believe that such acts are directed against all American citizens regardless of their religion, race or ethnicity, and hence we like to urge all our fellow American citizens not to rush to judgment and point fingers at Arab Americans who, along side all Americans, suffer equally from such despicable acts.
Birzeit Society is a charitable organization dedicated to the promotion of social, cultural and educational ties among Birzeit people in the US and their kin in Birzeit, Palestine.
