GAZA- August 26, 2014. As a ceasefire agreement was reached, the hope now is that fighting will end permanently from both sides and that people will start to recover.  The Episcopal Church in Jerusalem and The Middle East Diocese of Jerusalem published a report about the situation of Ahli Arab Hospital in Gaza and its needs for this early recovery period.

1. General Update

A ceasefire agreement was reached on 26 August 2014. The hope is that fighting will end permanently from both sides and that people will start to recover. 

There is massive destruction in the Gaza Strip to infrastructure, homes and public buildings. There is big number of people in need  of medical interventions, health services, shelter, clean water, food and psychosocial support (especially for children). The Ahli Arab Hospital continues its mission to serve those in need; especially during the early recovery period.
