RYRDear Friends of HCEF,

The Holy Land Christian Ecumenical Foundation’s (HCEF) 17th International Conference is only a few days away. It will be held this coming Saturday, October 17th at the Washington Marriott Georgetown from 8:30am-5:30pm. Have you registered yet? If not, you can sign up HERE!

I can assure you that it will be an educational and inspiring experience. We have over twenty speakers discussing a range of topics that will not only help you understand the complicated realities of the Holy Land and the Middle East, but also how you can be proactive in caring for those who suffer and help bring peace to a sacred place.

Among the many subjects covered, this year’s Conference will teach you about Iqrit, one of 534 villages destroyed in 1948. Palestinians originally from there are currently challenging Israel’s legal system so they can restore their once thriving community. You will also discover how Israel continues the construction of its separation wall, now through the Cremisan Valley, effectively seizing land owned by generations of Palestinian families. Additionally, the Conference will highlight the essential role of the Muslim Christian Coalition (MCC) to address crises throughout the Middle East. Christians can serve Muslims by working against discrimination. Muslims can serve Christians by protecting them in countries where they are the majority. We must work together for justice, peace and coexistence.

In addition to great discussions, the Conference will also feature a one-time-only travelling exhibit from the Bethlehem Museum! Come see expertly crafted mother of pearl worksfrom the Enrique Yidi collection, olive wood models of the Church of Nativity and Holy Sepulcher Church, brilliant iconography, a replica of the oldest known mosaic map of the Holy Land and rare traditional dresses of Palestine from the Munnayer collection, among other treasured artifacts. You won’t want to miss it! Learn more at bethlehemmuseum.com

Warm Regards,
