In order to disseminate the message of mercy, Caritas Jordan announced on Friday, June 3, that the Restaurant of Mercy will open its doors during the whole month of Ramadan to offer free iftar meals on daily basis to fasting people at the time when they break their fast. The iftar meals will be served by volunteers from Caritas Jordan, Weibdeh scouts, and other parishioners.

Furthermore, Caritas Jordan will offer during this month five iftar banquets to Jordanians at the hall of the Bisharat Church in coordination with the Ministry of Social Development and other local civil organizations. Caritas Jordan will also provide humanitarian assistance to 2,000 Jordanian families to include food packages and hygiene items.

It is to be noted that marking the start of the Jubilee Year of Mercy, the Restaurant of Mercy officially opened its doors on December 23, 2015. It has been serving some 300 to 500 hot meals to the poor and the needy on daily basis with additional 100 free meals to sanitation workers in Amman.
