    HCEF organized a dinner for close to 300 senior citizen, Men and women from the Ramallah area together with several of the local parish priests, religious and community leaders and the Mayors of Ramallah and Birzeit and HCEF staff and volunteers in the Holy Land.

    It has become a tradition that HCEF Senior Citizens Day Care center in Birzeit organize such an event to stand in solidarity and companionship with senior citizen from around the world and to reaffirm the requirements as well as aspirations of the elderly population of the Christian community in particular and the Palestinian community at large.

    The dinner started at 5:30 at the Orthodox Club in Ramallah, where Christian senior citizens celebrated with their fellow Muslim senior citizens the month of Ramadan yet another example of cultural diversity and tolerance amongst the Palestine community especially nowadays when the political conditions are rendering the whole atmosphere dark and grim.

    Many thanks go to those who helped sponsor the event; the Palestine Trading Bank, the Zabaneh Company, ARAMEX, National Beverage Company, the Management of the Orthodox club. To the Gracious persons and organizations that volunteered to its organization; the Latin Parish Ladies Committee, Saint Vincent de Paul Society, and many volunteers and small business from Jifna, Birzeit and Ramallah areas .

    The proceeds of the dinner will further support the general operations of the HCEF Center in Birzeit that has been founded since July 2005.

    HCEF Senior Citizen Day Care Center that is at the Heart of the Latin Patriarchate Housing project in Birzeit and is one of HCEF Parish Partnership programs between the Latin Parish of Birzeit, the Queen of Peace Catholic Parish the and the National Presbyterian church in Washington DC.
