    Children’s Journey to Jerusalem:
    The Journey to Peace

    Children’s Peace Journey to Jerusalem
    Friday, May 2, 2008

    ***********

“And how shall they preach, except they be sent? as it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things!”  Romans 10:15

‘Except they be sent.’ This statement speaks to the importance of being ‘sent’, which generally infers that one has received the blessing and support of the ‘sender.’ American Christians can take an active role in being a ‘sender.’

Friday, May 2, 2008, HCEF will host its annual Children’s “Journey to Jerusalem: The Journey to Peace”, which provides opportunity for more than 1000 Arab Christian children to go to Jerusalem to experience their faith and heritage, first hand.  As they celebrate Easter in an ‘Open City,’ children who live in the land of Jesus’ birth, and believe in His word will be able to visit, touch and experience the places where Jesus walked, many of them for the very first time.

It is inspiring and awesome to witness this event as buses filled with excited children cross the borders, bridges, checkpoints and boundaries from Israel, Palestine and Jordan to eagerly experience the reality of their faith. Our show of support gives them confidence that we stand in solidarity with them.  Many other Christian Leaders in the Holy Land will also participate, showing their support for peace and justice in the Holy Land.  Yes, how beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace.

Please help us to encourage peace by sending these children to Jerusalem? You can bring glad tidings of good things!  With only a $25.00 donation, you can sponsor this journey for one child!  A bus will transport more than 40 children, but the cost to sponsor a bus is only $400.  We would like to send 25 buses of children to Jerusalem on May 2, 2008.
