Each Holy Land gift is handmade by a Palestinian Christian artisan living in the Bethlehem region where they carry on a centuries-old Christian tradition of handcrafting souvenirs for pilgrims of the Holy Land.  Olive trees are indigenous to the Holy Land and are treasured because the oil from their fruit has been used in religious rites since before the time of Jesus.  They bear a sign of hope and renewed life.  Holy Land Christians make up less than 2% of the population in Palestine/Israel.  The 800 families whose income is derived from this craft sector in Bethlehem need our support during this time of crisis.

When did we see you, Lord?  Matthew 24:37

During this Lenten season, please pray especially for these Holy Land Christians who are a powerful testament of faith from the foot of the cross.  And, act now to support them.  You can make a real difference in the lives of these families by supporting their livelihood.
