The people of metropolitan Washington, DC are invited to participate in a service of prayer for the Christian communities in the Holy Land, for all those who are suffering in the area, and for peace in the Middle East. This ecumenical prayer service is the fourth of monthly gatherings in metropolitan Washington. Churches in the District of Columbia and Maryland will continue to hold special prayers for the Middle East on the twenty-second of each month until the violence ends and a just and lasting peace agreement between Palestinians and Israelis is reached.
