Just about an hour ago, the church building shook as 3 large explosions occurred in the direction of the Cinema (about 300 meters from the church). Within a few minutes, word came in that shells or rockets had hit the Holy Family Hospital near the Cinema. Solomon Nour, principal of Hope Secondary School, called me to give me the details, after being in contact with the social worker there, asking that we get this story out.

Just about an hour ago, the church building shook as 3 large explosions occurred in the direction of the Cinema (about 300 meters from the church).Within a few minutes, word came in that shells or rockets had hit the Holy Family Hospital near the Cinema. Solomon Nour, principal of Hope Secondary School, called me to give me the details, after being in contact with the social worker there, asking that we get this story out.
Sr. Sophia, one of the directors, explained that 3 rockets (they’re not sure whether they were tank shells, missiles or rockets) hit the hospital at once.The intensive care room, laundry room and another building on the complex were hit.The strike in the intensive care unit caused a small fire and smoke.There is much broken glass.
In the orphanage section, there are currently 50 children in residence, ages infant to 4 years old.The children began screaming and crying.Some asking, “Why? Why? What is this?”One of the sisters told the children, “Not to worry, it is only a wedding between Sharon and Arafat.”In the midst of the firing it is impossible to move the children, so they are now sleeping on the floor in the corridor because the walls are very thick and protected from flying glass.
I just called Sr. Sophia and she said to me, “We have a problem with the children. The babies are vomiting. Can we talk tomorrow?” Pray for the protection of all the children….
