Al-TAYBEH – It’s the last all-Christian village in Palestine. Al-Taybeh, which is located about 30 kilometers of Jerusalem, has a population of around 1300 inhabitants belonging to numerous denominations. Moreover, Al-Taybeh village is one of the oldest places in Palestine, depicted under the name of Ophrah and Ephraim in the Old and New Testament respectively.

One of the main challenges that faces Al-Taybeh lies in the emigration of its people. Faced with a lack of opportunities, many choose to leave their village in search of other horizons.

In the last few years, many initiatives have been developed in order to reverse this trend; they aim at discovering the village, its biblical and historical sites, its craft and diverse productions. It allows the people of Al-Taybeh to stay in their land, to live off their work and to plan a future for them and for their children in the village.

Are you planning to visit the Holy Land? Don’t hesitate to pass by Al-Taybeh! Your visit will be a mean to show your solidarity with the people of the village.
