WASHINGTON, DC – In light of the upcoming United States Presidential Election, the Holy Land Christian Ecumenical Foundation (HCEF) through its 18th Conference and Awards Banquet, will be exploring the implications and prospects for equality, prosperity, and peace given a Democratic, Republican, or Independent win. His Excellency Ambassador Maen Areikat, Chief Representative of the General Delegation of the Palestinian Liberation Organization to the US, Mr. Khalil Jahshan, Executive Director of the Arab Center Washington DC, Inc., and Dr. James Zogby, Co-Founder and President of the Arab American Institute and Member of the Executive Committee of the Democratic National Committee will be featured as panelists; they will analyze the significance of the upcoming Presidential Election. The Panel Moderator Elias Saboura, Esq., will be leading a discussion among the three panelists, who will undercover the implications for U.S Policy in the Middle East. The panel is on Saturday, October 15, 2016 at 4:00pm to 5:00pm.

Historically, the United States’ foreign policy has been mainly shaped by its presidents, and with potential significant shifts in American policies, this election might represent a turning point for various policies that have been endorsed so far. All three panelists will explore possible outlooks upon the results of the election, and will determine if the US Policy in the Middle East will uphold a vision that encompasses equality and prosperity in the Middle East, and will be examining how this vision for the Middle East affects the ongoing Israeli-Palestinian conflict.

These three panelists, along with an array of outstanding speakers, including Mr. Jin-Yung Woo, Advisor on Tourism and Culture to Secretary General, World Tourism Organization (UNWTO); Her Excellency Rula Ma’ayah, Minister of Tourism and Antiquities, Palestine; His Excellency Archbishop Robert J. Carlson, Archbishop of St. Louis, MO and HCEF Advisory Board Member; Mr. Sami B.
