The American University of Madaba (AUM) and Caritas Jordan signed a memorandum of understanding on Monday, September 11, designed to promote mutual coordination so as to disseminate knowledge relevant to emergency cases and educational opportunities in Jordan as applies to citizens and refugees.

The agreement was signed by AUM President Dr. Nabil Ayoub and Caritas Jordan Director Wael Suleiman in the presence of Latin Patriarchal Vicar for Jordan Bishop William Shomali, Director of the Catholic Center for Studies and Media F. Rifat Balderas well as Caritas Jordan and AUM officials.

The agreement calls for exchange of expertise and studies, dissemination of knowledge related to issues of common interest, upgrading the efficiency of cadres as well as participating in holding training programmes, seminars and scientific research studies.

Mr. Suleiman referred to the importance of cooperation between universities and vocational institutions in implementing social programmes particularly with regard to the distinguished cooperation both the AUM in light of the upcoming World Youth Peace Forum which will be held on 22-23 September 2017.
On their part, Bishop Shomali and Dr. Ayoub stressed the importance of these agreements that serve the Church and the society.
