With the starting the new school year in Palestine, HCEF distributed 2500 school kits to school students. Each kit included 12 notebooks, 6 pencils, a ruler, an eraser, sharpener, scissors, and 12 colors pen. These were distributed to 7 villages and towns in the Ramallah area to support the needy of fourteen Christian, government, and UNRWA schools as well as to many orphans through the Ministry of Social Development. HCEF in Partnership with Jerusalem Center put a smile on the face of many students. HCEF programs manager Najwa Khoury stated, “ HCEF is striving in every way to support our children, women, elders, and youth in Palestine.” Thanks to the volunteers at HCEF Birzeit Social Development and Cultural Center for helping to distribute these kits.

The schools that received kits are LPJ Birzeit School, UNRWA Girls School, LPJ Taybeh School, Orthodox Taybeh School, Majeda Wasela Government SchoolLPJ Ein Areek School, LPJ Aboud School. LPJ Jifna School, LPJ Zababdeh School, Birzeit Model Elementary School “Olia”Al Marj, Birzeit Elementary School “Donia”Wad El Hamamand the Spanish School.

HCEF has supported Christian education in the Holy Land since its inception in 1998. Our programs have provided thousands of schoolchildren with the gift of an education. HCEF offers the Children’s Education Fund as a means of mobilizing Christians worldwide in support of Palestinian children, ensuring that education remains a reality that is accessible to all in the Holy Land.
