Dozens of students, faculty, and staff gathered in De La Salle building to celebrate the annual Christmas tree lighting on Thursday, 28 November 2019.

Vice Chancellor Brother Peter Bray said that it was a wonderful opportunity to come together as a University; faculty, staff, and students, to celebrate this Christmas season.

He added that “we start our celebration by lighting this tree as a symbol of the unity that exists here at Bethlehem University, here in Palestine despite all of the hustles that we have to deal with.”

Brother Peter and the Student Senate’s President lit the Christmas tree.

The audience reacted with cheers and joined in singing Christmas carols.

The Dean of Students Office also organized the annual Christmas party in cooperation with the Student Senate afterward in the auditorium. The party included question and answer competition in addition to performances by Wajd Musical Group and Shepherd’s Boy and Girl Scout Troop.
