Fr. FRANCESCO PATTON, ofm Custos of the Holy Land “We are in front of the Holy Sepulcher in Jerusalem, the holiest place for all Christians in the world, the place where Jesus conquered death by rising on Easter morning. I wish to tell each and every one of you that, in this place, we friars of the Custody of the Holy Land, as well as our Greek and Armenian brothers, are praying for you every day. My dear friends of the United States, United Kingdom and all English speaking Countries, continue to believe, continue to hope, continue to love. Keep on resisting! We are keeping a physical distance as it is necessary to prevent the virus from spreading, but we remain united and in solidarity with each other, because only in this way will we be able to defeat the most lethal virus, the virus of selfishness, which makes some think that it is possible that we can save ourselves. We are one family, we are all together in the same boat, we are close to you and we pray for you and your loved ones. Keep on hoping, keep on trusting and keep on loving. Take courage!”
