On Monday, October 17, 2022, Bishop Joseph Jbarah, archbishop of the Melkite Greek Catholic Archeparchy of Petra and Philadelphia and entire Jordan, inaugurated the Counseling Center which is affiliated with Caritas Jordan in Ashrafiyeh, eastern Amman.

During the visit, Caritas Jordan Director Wael Suleiman briefed Bishop Jbarah, who was accompanied by Fr. Sami Qandah and Fr. Khalid Sha’ban, on the nature of the center’s activities and its objectives.

The center, which consists of five rooms, aims to provide psychosocial support where individual and group sessions can be held for people dealing with issues relevant to the increased psychological immunity, reducing stress resulting from the prevailing situations, parental skills, as well as specialized sessions for young people on activating the importance of their communal role in preserving societal values, in addition to maintaining their psychological and social health.
