Sir Rateb Rabie, CEO of the Holy Land Christian Ecumenical Foundation, spoke with members of the Arab American Business Council on the business and investment opportunities present in Palestine. Sir Rabie also discussed new opportunities to support the Palestinian economy, especially in small and midscale enterprises.

Sir Rabie’s address provided a thorough introduction to the Palestinian investment environment, and touched on many of the success stories of projects between Palestinians and expatriate investors living in Palestine. He also discussed the “Future Business Leaders Program”, a new program being implemented by HCEF in collaboration with The Palestinian Market Development Programme (PMDP) is funded by the UK Department for International Development (DFID) and the European Union (EU).

Sir Rabie continues to be an active participant within the Arab American Business Council. The Arab American Business Council (AABC) is a non-political, non-religious affiliated organization that works to empower and strengthen Arab-American businesses. As part of his remarks, Sir Rabie also emphasized the need to educate Palestinian and Arab-Americans about the importance of supporting the Palestinian economy. He also provided crucial information for those who wish to invest in the Palestinian markets and create jobs in all areas. Mr. Marwan Ahmad, President of AABC, commented that, “We all learned from your presentation and we look forward to continue working with you and your successful organization”.

Sir Rabie concluded his presentation by thanking AABC for their invitation and their interest in HCEF’s work, expressing hopes that his participation would be a positive catalyst in guiding the development and economic investment of Palestine.
