Saliba Sarsar. Associate Vice President for Academic Program Initiatives. August 25, 2009

WASHINGTON, DC—The Holy Land Christian Ecumenical Foundation (HCEF) is pleased to announce that Dr. Saliba Sarsar, Professor at Monmouth University, and Chair of HCEF’s Research and Publication Committee, will receive the 2015 Holy Land Christian Ecumenical Foundation Award at HCEF’s 17th International Conference Awards Banquet. The Awards Banquet will take place on Oct. 16, 2015 at the Washington Marriott Georgetown.

The HCEF Award is given to an individual who has dedicated his or her life to preserving the presence of Christians in the Holy Land. The award recipient has demonstrated courage, determination and action to advance the cause of justice, sustenance and spiritual support for the Living Stones.

This award gives public recognition to the many years of hard work and dedication Dr. Sarsar has given to HCEF’s mission. He has been with HCEF since the beginning and has left an indelible mark on the organization. Throughout the years, he has offered his expertise in our literature, presentations and material. Dr. Sarsar’s ideas have allowed HCEF to adopt its different programs and address the deep seated issues plaguing Palestine. His words are always an inspiration to seek out justice, peace and coexistence. HCEF would be an entirely different organization if not for his council. In gratitude for all Dr. Sarsar has done for HCEF in particular and Palestine as a whole, we can think of no individual better suited to receive the 2015 HCEF Award. We could all learn from his living testimony of Christ. It is an honor to have Dr. Sarsar as the Chair of our Research and Publication Committee.

The 2015 HCEF Award will be presented during their Awards Banquet the evening before the conference: Friday, Oct. 16, 7:00 p.m., at the Washington Marriott Georgetown.
