VISION

We believe in the power of prayer and in the development of hands-on opportunities that allow us to put our faith into action. We are committed to the continued presence, empowerment, and well-being of Arab Christians in the Holy Land and to developing the bonds of solidarity between them and Christians everywhere. We accomplish this through a faith-based educational approach advocating on their behalf. We also work to strengthen the outreach of their voices to individuals and groups that are: Christian, ecumenical, service-oriented and dedicated to peace, prayer, and justice for the Holy Land.

MISSION

Based on the HCEF mission, the Advocacy/Outreach Program’s mission is to educate and communicate on behalf of the Palestinian Christians and to be their voice. We advocate based on actions that would work toward improving their lives, thereby reversing the trend toward emigration. We work toward the vision of one land for two peoples and three faiths.

Local Holy Land Christian Support Network (HCSN) committees carry out the work of the foundation at a grassroots level. Each committee, while maintaining its own individual character, reflects the philosophy and goals of the national organization. Each local committee organizes and direct its energies in the most efficient way together with the help and guidance of the HCEF Headquarters in Bethesda and the HCEF Board of Directors.

HCSN committees also support various programs dedicated to educating Americans about the history, culture, and current daily life of Palestinian Christians. Many of the educational opportunities, projects, and programs of HCEF involve simple acts of conscience-affecting individuals and small groups of our brothers and sisters in the Holy Land.

In order to increase the number of people we reach with our message, HCEF creates informational materials and publications to keep others informed about the work of HCEF.  Those who do not have access to our web site might find print media more inviting. The publications and print materials include information from and/or about our brothers and sisters in the Holy Land that speaks of their current situation as well as description of the HCEF activities and programs. Please contact HCEF via email at hcef@hcef.org or by phone at 301 951 9400 to have information sent to you.
