WASHINGTON DC-Three women, who are living the reality of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, will share their experiences and hopes for a just peace at the 6th International HCEF Conference, Friday, October 22. They have witnessed the deterioration around them over the past four years of Israeli-Palestinian fighting and have made a commitment to address American audiences about their hopes for the future and what must be done to improve today’s grim situation.

“These three women, with different faiths, share a common vision that transcends the conflict that separates them.  This proves that peace is possible if we focus on what is good for all the people of the Holy Land,” commented Rateb Rabie, HCEF President.

These women – Christian, Muslim, and Jewish – are uniting with the Holy Land Christian Ecumenical Foundation in their vision for peace.  These women, who have never met, are willing to share with HCEF conference participants to address realities of the conflict – loss of family homes, persecution, occupation, violence, and the separation barrier currently being constructed in the West Bank.  They are speaking in unity to demonstrate that in spite of difficulty peace is possible.

Partners for Peace, an NGO based in Washington, DC, is co-sponsoring this part of the conference.  Its mission is to help bring about a just and lasting solution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.
