After denouncing the injustices, in the interview Father Pizzabalal invited all to welcome the “signs of resurrection,” that characterise this year Easter celebrations in the Holy Land. These are small signs that do not make any noise. But he added that they are “fruit of the heart’s conversion, which in its love for Jesus, transforms hate into love. In the midst of the violence, there are many secular and religious movements of Israelis and Palestinians that notwithstanding the barriers want to continue to meet. “The Israeli construction of the Wall is a great injustice: it impedes many people to go to work or to school,” said Father Pierbattista Pizzaballa, Custodian of the Holy Land, in an interview
with AsiaNews released today. According to Pizzaballa, however, “the Palestinians also have a basic injustice, that of not accepting the existence of Israeli and their right to live in peace and security.” After denouncing the injustices, in the interview Father Pizzabalal invited all

There are many people who work for the poor, for human rights, and pay for their efforts in person.” According to Pizzabella, “Another sign of the resurrection is catechumens. At Easter, two Israelis will be baptised, as well as two Palestinians, and many Thais, Sri Lankans and Filipinos who work here as domestic workers and bricklayers. At last, thank god that pilgrims are returning. My appeal is that everyone comes to the Holy Land because there aren’t dangers and because coming to the Holy Land is a way to support local Christians, but also a way to go back to the roots of one’s faith, and go to the heart of the mystery that gives life to the world.”
