Through the reflections of three Lutheran church leaders, shared conversation among attendees and presenters, a
common meal, and prayer, this symposium seeks to:
- describe Palestinian life in its present reality and its hopes for the future;
- present the policy and programs of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America as these seek to facilitate peaceful
solutions for the people of the Middle East; - allow Bishop Graham to present reflections on his January 2009 trip to Israel and Palestine;
- encourage responsible action toward peace with justice on the part of individuals and congregations
- pray for the peace of Jerusalem
