The Holy Land Christian Ecumenical Foundation is hosting the 17th International Re-conceptualizing Early Childhood Education (RECE) Conference in Palestine.
RECE said in a statement that it is convening the conference at Dar Annadwa in Bethlehem, June 22 to 25. The conference provides a forum for the international early childhood scholars to rethink early childhood education in the context of Pedagogy of Hope.
RECE participants are arriving from Australia, Canada, France, Ireland, Jordan , Korea, New Zealand, Norway, Sweden, the United Kingdom, the United States and Palestine to carry on the discussions on psychology and child development education that started with RECE’s inception in 1991.
The conference schedule consists of academic presentations and discussions, enriched by various cultural awareness and peace-building activities. These include olive-tree planting in the village of Artas, a field trip to Hebron to explore the old city, and a visit to a girls’ school in the Israeli military-controlled H2 zone of the city.
