The Way of the Cross
Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,
This Lenten season, let’s renew our commitment to loving others as Jesus loved us. It is a big commitment. Jesus loved us to the point of giving his life!
I invite you to join us this Easter in support of Palestinian Christians who, in 1948, comprised 51% of the population of Jerusalem. Today, Christians comprise only 1.5% of the population (in Jerusalem and in the rest of the Holy Land). They suffer from 60% unemployment, and they experience daily violence in their towns and villages. They walk the Via Dolorosa every day in search of peace. Click here to donate now!
Thank you for your ongoing prayers and support of HCEF’s programs for Palestinian Christians. Your commitment to share your own resources for these programs means that every day, life is a little bit better for:
- children in the Christian schools of the Holy Land,
- Christian artisans of religious craftwork,
- Christian families whose homes have been damaged in the violence,
- local small business owners who depend on a decreasing number of Christian pilgrims, and
- local Christian community centers and faith communities.
“Bear one another’s burdens, and so you will fulfill the law of Christ.” (Gal 6:2) Brothers and sister in Christ, let’s each take up a small piece of the burden so that the Christian holy sites retain their living stones and do not become mere museums of a community that has departed. As HCEF continues to organize conferences here in the United States and to bring speakers to new churches, you can be sure that your donation is helping to spread the message to an ever-greater community of the Body of Christ. Together, we place our hope in Jesus who suffered, died and was resurrected in Jerusalem. Together, the burden of the cross is lighter.
The HCEF Board of Directors and our volunteer leaders wish you a blessed Easter,
Rateb Rabie, KCHS
