May this time of soul cleansing and reflection strengthen spiritual bonds and bring about a deeper compassion for those who are less fortunate and inspire in each person a greater commitment to peace and the support of it. Almsgiving is a sacred obligation for the purpose of bettering the lives of others and presenting a visible display of love for mankind.
Even during these dark, violent and turbulent times, light will brightly shine forth from those individuals who are committed to living their faith and putting it in action. HCEF believes that we, as individuals, can and do make a difference as we aim to ‘replace despair with hope, fear with human security and humiliation with dignity’.
