Caritas Jerusalem is preparing the launch of a mobile clinic designed to provide health services to the residents of the Gaza Strip. This was reported to Agenzia Fides by Father Raed Abusahliah, director general of Caritas Jerusalem. The initiative will be implemented thanks to the financial support offered by the Bank of Palestine. The protocol of the project carried out in partnership between Caritas Jerusalem and the Bank of Palestine was signed on Tuesday, April 7 by Father Raed and Hashim Sawa, President of the Bank of Palestine, in Ramallah.
The collaboration agreement provides for the purchase of the mobile units on behalf of the Bank, while Caritas will design and manage intervention programs, which will complement the initiatives of humanitarian support already carried out by Caritas for the people of the Gaza Strip in the food, education and psycho-social field.
Caritas Jerusalem has already spent a million dollars for programs especially for displaced persons and children.
