HCEF CHILDREN’S EDUCATION FUND ANNUAL APPEAL
The greatest gift we can give a Christian child is education!
Educated Palestinian children are the hope for the future of Palestinian culture and heritage.

Dear Friends of HCEF,

In order to support the urgent needs of Christian families who are struggling to survive as a community in the Holy Land, The Children’s Education Fund was established in 1999 by the Holy Land Christian Ecumenical Foundation (HCEF), a non-profit 501(c)3 charitable organization.

Although the Holy Land Christians are direct descendants of the first Christians and were 18% of the population in 1948, their numbers have diminished to less than 1.5 % today, threatening the continuing survival of the Christian faith traditions, rich heritage and presence in this land where Jesus walked the earth. Christian families, who we call the “living stones”, face a deteriorating economy, lack of employment and limited resources to afford to educate their children. The Children’s Education Fund (CEF) was established to meet this dire need of struggling families who are facing daily obstacles to life in the midst of difficult and often hostile conditions.

In line with our ecumenical mission, HCEF works to support all Christian schools in the Holy Land. Donations to CEF help support children who attend Latin (Catholic), Greek Orthodox, Franciscan, Melkite Catholic, Syrian Orthodox, Anglican, and Lutheran schools. This ecumenical program helps preserve the Mother Church and Christian diversity in the Holy Land.

I invite you to join our effort to support our Christian brothers and sisters by contributing to the Children’s Education Fund. Your donation will let them know that they are not alone and that you care.

A child can attend a Christian school for $300.00 a year.
