On Tuesday September 8, 2015 and during the International Conference held in Paris, His Beatitude Patriarch Fouad Twal met with the French Minister of Foreign Affairs Laurent Fabius, as well as with the Jordanian Minister of Foreign Affairs Nasser Judeh. On this occasion, he focused on the dramatic character of the present situation in the Middle East, and asked for concrete actions in order to bring relief to Syrian and Iraqi refugees, and to restore peace in the region. He emphasized on the necessity to put an end to the flow of arms into these countries. He has also referred to the important role the Church plays to host refugees in Jordan.
