Washington, D.C. – The Holy Land Christian Ecumenical Foundation is proud to announce the addition of new members Dorothy Buck, Ph.D. and Dr. Ghazi Hanania to the Board of Directors and Advisory Board, respectively. Buck and Dr. Hanania are no strangers to HCEF and its mission as they have been passionate advocates for several years. President and CEO, Sir Rateb Rabie, KCHS, believes that their new roles within HCEF will serve as significant contributing factor to achieving greater in the years to come.
Dr. Dorothy Buck has been a longtime supporter of education for Palestinian Christian in the Holy Land and has assisted with the Child Sponsorship programs, as well as its transformation into the Children’s Education Fund. In addition to her attendance to several HCEF conference and retreats, Dr. Buck has been a strong promoter of the Living Stone Pilgrimages, even leading numerous pilgrimages herself.
Dr. Ghazi Hanania has been a strong and committed ally to HCEF for several years and hopes to expand on his commitment in a different capacity in his new role. Dr. Hanania has been instrumental in facilitating many of HCEF’s initiatives in the Holy Land arranging meetings for Sir Rateb Rabie and members of the Palestinian Authorities in order to discuss the challenges facing the Palestinian Christians and those in the diaspora. Dr. Hanania is currently the chair on the currently chairs the Board of the Palestinian Center for Development and Media Freedom, serves as Vice President of the Palestine Medical Complex, and is a member of the Board of Directors at Arab Investors PLC and Ramallah Summer Resorts Co and Yaser Arafat Foundation as well as the board of trustees of Al-Quds University. This experience, network, and expertise make him a valuable member of the HCEF Advisory Board.
The current Board of Directors, Advisory Board, and staff of HCEF believe that Dr. Buck and Dr. Hanania will strengthen the force behind HCEF’s programs as well as their expansion.
