JERUSALEM – On Monday August 7, 2017, in presence of His Excellency Archbishop Pierbattista Pizzaballa, Apostolic Administrator of the Latin Patriarchate, Fr. George Ayoub transferred his duties as Chancellor and Personal Secretary to Fr. Ibrahim Shomali and Fr. Joseph Sweiss, respectively.
In a letter sent earlier that day, Fr. George thanked everyone who stood by his side and helped him serve the mission of the Latin Patriarchate of Jerusalem.
Fr. Ibrahim will serve as new Chancellor of the Latin Patriarchate, while Fr. Joseph will be the Personal Secretary of H.E. Archbishop Pierbattista Pizzaballa.
The Latin Patriarchate, including vicars, clergy and faithful, would like to thank Fr. George and wish Fr. Ibrahim and Fr. Joseph full success in their new missions, offering prayers for all three priests.
