His Majesty King Abdullah II, on Friday, December 29, sent a cable to Egyptian President Abdel Fattah Al Sisi, offering condolences over the loss of life in the terrorist attack that targeted Mar Mina church in Helwan district, south of Cairo.
In the cable, His Majesty condemned the cowardly terrorist act, stressing Jordan’s support for Egypt and its people to fight terrorism and its gangs.
The King expressed sympathies to Al Sisi and the families of the victims, wishing the injured a speedy recovery.
In another development, Jordan condemned the terrorist attack that targeted Mar Mina Church in Helwan district, south of Cairo, killing 10 citizens and injuring 5 others.
Minister of State for Media Affairs and Communications and Government Spokesman Mohammed Momani denounced the criminal act carried out by the terrorist gangs, adding that places of worship have their sanctity and should not be subjected to any attack under any pretext.
Momani called for intensifying efforts to combat terrorism internationally, praising Egyptian security bodies for foiling the terrorist attack.
The minister offered the Jordanian government condolences to the families of the victims, wishing the injured a speedy recovery.
