Also this year the Caritas of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan has started the special campaign carried out in conjunction with the Muslim holy month of Ramadan, which contemplates the distribution of food parcels among poor Muslim families in different governorates of the Kingdom. On Monday 21st May, Caritas Jordan volunteers began distributing food packages in the northern governorate of Mafraq, not far from the border with Syria. The distribution took place in collaboration with the Promise Welfare Society. The first to benefit from the Caritas initiative were those belonging to 100 families of Jordanian citizens and Syrian Muslim refugees. In the coming weeks, the distribution of aid reserved for Muslim families with economic difficulty will continue in other areas of the Kingdom by Caritas Jordan, which last year celebrated its first 50 years of activity in the Hashemite Kingdom.
