Most Rev. Archbishop Pierbattista Pizzaballa, Apostolic Administrator of the Latin Patriarchate of Jerusalem, accompanied by his personal secretary Fr. Joseph Sweiss, visited Caritas Jordan on Saturday, September 1.
On his first leg of the visit, Archbishop Pierbattista Pizzaballa visited the administration building at the Fourth Circle where he was welcomed by Caritas Jordan Director Wael Suleiman and Caritas employees. A discussion focused on Caritas’ activities, its mission and the challenges faced.
He then headed to the administration building in Jabal Luweibdeh. He was welcomed by the administrative and financial staff and was briefed on the work of the Human Resources Department, the Finance Department and the Resources and Projects Departments. He toured the various sections, exchanged views with members of staff and exchanged views on the challenges and how to deal with them.
Archbishop Pierbattista Pizzaballa also visited the Church of Virgin Mary Mother of Church in Marka, central Amman, on Friday August 30. He was welcomed by parish priest Khalil Ja’ar, deacon Imad Hijazeen and a large number of parishioners. During the visit he was acquainted with the activities of the parishioners. He later celebrated Holy Mass.
