The General Secretariat of the Catholic Schools in the Middle East opened their meetings on Tuesday, October 9, under the patronage of former Prime Minister Adnan Badran, chairman of the National Centre for Curriculum Development’s Higher Council, at Terra Sancta College in Amman under the title, “The Environment of the Christian School”.

Present at the opening session were Apostolic Nuncio to Jordan Archbishop Alberto Ortega Martín, secretary generals and directors of Catholic Schools in the Middle East and Northern Africa, a number of administrative and educational cadres.

Several speeches were addressed including a welcoming address by Secretary General of the Catholic Schools in Jordan Fr. Rashid Mistrih.

In his address, Dr. Badran called for developing the educational system in a way to catch up with the prevailing developments and progress attained in the 21st century. He also called for restructuring schools so as to enable the new generation face the challenges of the new century with creative minds that can boost economy based on excellence.
