Caritas Jordan has launched a widespread campaign to support poor students. The campaign is designed to provide financial aid to students and their families who are burdened with tuition fees.
This campaign coincides with the start of the new school year where, according to school regulations, school fees have to be settled for the previous school year and the new one.
It is hoped that this campaign would bear fruit and open the door wide for those can extend a helping hand to the poor.
Caritas Jordan has all the time been a bright star in a gloomy night as it strove tirelessly to fulfill its love message to the poor and needy by the good work of groups and individuals offering medical and humanitarian services.
Its message is stipulated in serving and developing humans without distinctions in race, color, gender or religion. It has all the time been conveying invaluable service by assisting the poor and needy, providing primary medical services to mothers and children, assisting refugees and displaced in addition to victims of wars and disasters, working with governmental and voluntary corporations as well as with Caritas International members to achieve the desired goals.
On Jordan’s Independence Day 2019, His Majesty King Abdullah bestowed the Order of Al Istiqlal (Independence) of the first degree on Caritas Jordan, in appreciation for its unstinting charity work and community service in the healthcare, education, youth, and productive sectors over the past 50 years, as well as in appreciation of its efforts to provide shelter for the forcibly displaced and refugees from Iraq and Syria.
It is worthy to note that Caritas Jordan also won the 2014 Caritas Award in Lucerne which confirms its high-standard performance represented in providing services to the forcibly displaced, the homeless and the needy people at all times particularly at times of war.
In his address at the regional and national delegations from all over the world participating in the XXI General Assembly of Caritas Internationalis which began May 23, His Holiness Pope Francis urged the participants to continue their path along the “three essential elements for the Church ‘on its way’, namely the humility of listening, the charism of togetherness, and the courage of renunciation.”
The role played by Caritas Jordan during the past years has been pivotal and vital as it provided all kinds of humane services to Iraqi and Syrian refugees who lost all hope in life.
Caritas Jordan complements the message of the Church by expressing love through different tangible means. It has always been a bright star in bleak and gloomy nights. Its services come at the rights time to reveal Jesus’ message of love. With Lord Jesus’ message of love conveyed by Caritas worldwide, and expressed by Caritas Jordan in particular, there is a glimmer of hope that the world will constantly look better day after day.
