JERUSALEM – On Saturday, October 26, 2019, the Latin Patriarchate of Jerusalem welcomed H.E. Bishop James Wall, of the Diocese of Gallup in New Mexico, who led a group of 350 pilgrims from New Mexico, Arizona, and other US states to the Holy Land.

In the Co-Cathedral of the Latin Patriarchate, Bishop Wall celebrated Mass during which he shared his joy to visit the Holy Land, and expressed the deep concern that the Catholic Church in the US has for the Holy Land and its faithful.

The delegation was received by Bishop Boulos Marcuzzo, Latin Patriarchal Vicar for Jerusalem and Palestine, who welcomed the pilgrims, talked about the local church and the living stones and answered their questions.

Present among the pilgrims were American Catholic author and radio host Mr. Patrick Madrid as well as a group of Knights and Ladies of the Holy Sepulcher, who received their pilgrim shells on the occasion of their first visit to the Holy Land.
