AMMAN — Deputising for HRH Prince Hassan, chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Royal Institute for Inter-Faith Studies (RIIFS), HRH Princess Sumaya on Saturday attended the first conference for interfaith dialogue titled “The role of religions and religious organisations in realising the UN Sustainable Development Goals [SDGs]”.
The conference, organised by Amman Baccalaureate School in cooperation with RIIFS and the International Youth Ambassadors Foundation as part of World Interfaith Harmony Week, saw the participation of students from nine schools discussing five SDGs, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
Princess Sumaya highlighted the role of places of worship worldwide in achieving social partnership to face global challenges such as hunger, poverty and women’s empowerment through focusing on common human values.
