The CCSM, established in 2012, with the thankful support of the Latin Patriarchate which is worth respect and gratitude, made a turning point in the field of Christian media. It was a nonpareil achievement which several sites worldwide strived to emulate.

Among one of the outstanding activities of the CCSM is that during the Coronavirus lockdown, it live-streamed Holy Masses and various relevant religious activities so that the faithful may be kept abreast with the recent religious services and come in close touch with the Lord. The CCSM is a distinguished center because the immense duties it carries are unique to the point that no other center has been able to follow the same model.

The news carries by its websites have repeatedly been shared by the most prestigious Christian sites. The websites in both Arabic and English are renowned for being updated one hour after the other so that the readers are always kept abreast about the latest interesting developments.

The CCSM has organized several conferences or taken part in others. Among them is the Christian-Islamic celebration marking the Feast of the Annunciation for two successive years, namely 2018 and 2019. Furthermore, the conference on “The Media Code of Ethics’’ which was held recently issued 10-point Media Code of Ethics focusing on proper use of social media networking sites, as well as on serving morality and respect for human dignity on the one hand in addition to ensuring the dignity of religions and religious symbols of the other

Over the past years, the CCSM was able to obtain a foothold in the Christian Arab Media throughout the Jordanian and Arab societies by being open to the fraternal churches in a lofty ecumenical spirit, as well as by being cordial to religious leaders, to those who contribute by writing articles, and to those who initiate seminars and pastoral activities.

The CCSM, represented by its director Fr. Dr. Rif’at Bader and the members of staff, has always expressed permanent readiness to focus on issues of concern to humanity, commensurate with its slogan, “Media for Humanity through the Culture of Encounter”.

The CCSM pays tribute to the Latin Patriarchate for its continued and highly appreciated support to the CCSM since without such a valuable support this center would not have been able to stand on its feet, to convey the message of Christianity in both Arabic and English, and to serve as the mouthpiece of Christians in the Middle East.
