When the three wise men heard the good news of the birth of Jesus, they traveled a great distance to worship him.
“On coming to the house, they saw the child with his mother Mary, and they bowed down and worshiped him. Then they opened their treasures and presented him with gifts of gold and of incense and of myrrh.”
Matthew 2:11.
As we enter the season for celebrating the birth of Jesus and for giving, let us reflect on ways in which we can worship Christ by being a blessing to others, especially our brothers and sisters in the Holy Land.
This year has been quite a challenge. The harsh conditions that Palestinians and the whole world are going through, due to the spread of the pandemic, require all people to gather their resources to assist their fellow human beings, especially those in greatest need, and to provide them with the necessary support of food and medical supplies during these emergency conditions. This situation is catastrophic for everyone spiritually, mentally, and financially. We must continuously remain in a posture of dependency on God as we continue to build bridges of solidarity and provide support for our brothers and sisters in the Holy Land.
