The Holy Land Christian Ecumenical Foundation (HCEF), in partnership with the National Presbyterian Church (NPC) – Washington, D.C., distributed 150 food and health parcels to needy Palestinian families in the villages of Al-Taybeh, Jefnah, Jenin, Atara, Aboud, and Birzeit.
The food parcels contain basic items such as rice, flour, oil, sugar, pasta, noodles, and other basic foodstuffs, as well as health protective and relief items.
Since the Covid-19 pandemic started, HCEF responded quickly to protect and prevent the deterioration of poor and marginalized families and to ensure their food and health security by providing assistance and services that contribute to mitigating the negative effects of the pandemic from March 2020 to date.
This assistance is a step to reinforce solidarity, societal symbiosis, and social responsibility towards people in difficult economic conditions. It aims to alleviate the suffering of citizens and support and reinforce their steadfastness. The focus is on multiple segments of society, including the sick and the poor so that the food parcels draw a smile on the faces of the poor and families in need.
Sir Rateb Rabie, KCHS President and CEO of the HCEF, explained that this program is a continuation of the food program for marginalized families. This humanitarian action is undertaken in solidarity with the Palestinian people who have been under Israeli occupation for decades and are now suffering from the virus as well. He stressed the importance of continuing efforts to support the steadfastness of citizens and to work in every way possible to save the lives of needy families. He appealed to the international relief organizations and individuals to join this effort and expand the program for the sake of humanity.

توزيع (150) طرد غذائي وصحي على الأسر المحتاجة في ستة قرى بالضفة الغربية
قامت مؤسسة الاراضي المقدسة المسيحية المسكونية وبالتعاون مع الكنيسة المشيخية الوطنية – واشنطن العاصمة بتوزيع (150) طرد صحي وغذائي على الأسر الفلسطينية المحتاجة في قرى الطيبة، جفنا، جنين، عطارة، عابود، وبيرزيت.
إن مؤسسة الأراضي المقدسة المسيحية المسكونية منذ بداية جائحة كوفيد 19 استجابت بطريقة سريعة لحماية ومنع تردي أوضاع الأسر الفقيرة والمهمشة وضمان أمنهم الغذائي والصحي، من خلال تقديم المساعدات والخدمات التي تساهم في التخفيف من الآثار السلبية للجائحة منذ آذار 2020، ولغاية الأن.
وفي خطوة لتعزيز التضامن والتكافل الاجتماعي وتحمل المسؤولية الاجتماعية تجاه ابناء الشعب في ظل الظروف الاقتصادية الصعبة، وتأتي هذه المساعدات بهدف التخفيف من معاناة المواطنين ودعمهم وتعزيز صمودهم في ظل الظروف الاقتصادية الصعبة التي يعيشها الشعب، موضحة أن التركيز يكون على شرائح متعددة من المجتمع تشمل المرضى والفقراء، حيث ان هذه التوزيعات ترسم البسمة على وجوه العائلات الفقيرة والمحتاجة.
وقد تم توزيع طرود الطعام التي تحتوي على الاصناف الأساسية مثل الارز والطحين والزيت والسكر ومعكرونة وشعيرية وغيرها من المواد الغذائية الاساسية، وايضا المواد الصحية.
السيد راتب ربيع، الرئيس والمدير التنفيذي لمؤسسة الاراضي المقدسة أوضح أن هذا البرنامج هو استكمال للبرنامج الغذائي للعائيلات المهشمة، وان هذا التصرف الانساني هو من اجل التضامن مع شعبنا، الذي يعاني من الاحتلال واصبح يعاني من الفيروس ايضا، مؤكدا على أهمية استمرار الجهود من أجل دعم صمود المواطنين والعمل بكافة السبل من أجل توفير ما يسد رمق الاسر المحتاجة.

HCEF distribuyó 150 paquetes de alimentos y salud a familias necesitadas en las ciudades palestinas de Al-Taybeh, Jefnah, Jenin, Atara, Aboud y Birzeit.
La Fundación Ecuménica Cristiana de Tierra Santa (HCEF), en asociación con la Iglesia Presbiteriana Nacional (NPC) – Washington, DC, distribuyó 150 paquetes de alimentos y salud a familias palestinas necesitadas en las aldeas de Al-Taybeh, Jefnah, Jenin, Atara, Aboud y Birzeit.
Los paquetes de alimentos contienen artículos básicos como arroz, harina, aceite, azúcar, pasta, fideos y otros alimentos básicos, así como artículos de protección y ayuda para la salud.
Desde que comenzó la pandemia Covid-19, HCEF respondió rápidamente para proteger y prevenir el deterioro de las familias pobres y marginadas y garantizar su seguridad alimentaria y sanitaria brindando asistencia y servicios que contribuyan a mitigar los efectos negativos de la pandemia desde marzo de 2020 hasta la fecha.
Esta asistencia es un paso para reforzar la solidaridad, la simbiosis social y la responsabilidad social hacia las personas en condiciones económicas difíciles. Tiene como objetivo aliviar el sufrimiento de los ciudadanos y apoyar y reforzar su resiliencia. La atención se centra en múltiples segmentos de la sociedad, incluidos los enfermos y los pobres, de modo que los paquetes de alimentos dibujen una sonrisa en los rostros de los pobres y las familias necesitadas.
Sir Rateb Rabie, presidente de KCHS y director ejecutivo de HCEF, explicó que este programa es una continuación del programa de alimentos para familias marginadas. Esta acción humanitaria se lleva a cabo en solidaridad con el pueblo palestino que ha estado bajo la ocupación israelí durante décadas y ahora también padece el virus. Destacó la importancia de continuar los esfuerzos para apoyar la resiliencia de los ciudadanos y trabajar de todas las formas posibles para salvar las vidas de las familias necesitadas. Hizo un llamamiento a las organizaciones internacionales de socorro y a las personas para que se unan a este esfuerzo y amplíen el programa por el bien de la humanidad.
