A statement issued by the Latin Vicariate in Amman dated September 24 indicates that Latin Patriarchal Vicar for Jordan Bishop William Shomali is scheduled to leave Jordan in early October on his way to Jerusalem to resume his service as general Latin patriarchal vicar. Fr. Jamal Khader is scheduled to arrive shortly in Jordan to assume his duty as Latin patriarchal vicar for Jordan.
The Latin Vicariate in Amman has announced that the hall of St. Mary of Nazareth Church in Sweifieh, Amman, will be open on Thursday and Friday September 30-October 1, 2021 from 5:00pm to 8:00pm to greet Bishop Shomali and Fr. Jamal Khader.
The statement welcomes all ecclesiastical and civil delegations hoping that the Almighty God would protect the Church and bless Jordan under the leadership of His Majesty King Abdullah II.
