Under the patronage of His Grace Bishop Hosam Naoum, the Anglican Archbishop in Jerusalem, the new elementary school yard was inaugurated at St. George’s School in Jerusalem on Monday, January 23rd, 2023. The Rev’d Canon Wadie Far, the vice chair of the Board of Directors, Mr. Richard Zananiri, the Director of the school, Mrs. Doreen Ajrab, the head of the elementary school, Mrs. Rula Michael, the head of the kindergarten, students teachers, and representatives from the donors were present in the inauguration.
After Bishop Naoum and some students cut the ribbon, Mr. Zananiri welcomed all in attendance and expressed his delight with the conclusion of the project. Speeches were presented by the representatives of the Arab Monitory Fund and the Welfare and Advancement Association, as well as from the designer of the project and a student from the elementary school. In his speech, Archbishop Naoum thanked all the different organisations that funded, supported, designed, and implemented this project.
He thanked the Islamic Development Bank, represented by Eng. Ikhlas Al- Ratrout, and her staff, and Eng. Basel Kutaineh, he also thanked the Welfare and Advancement Association, which was represented by Eng. Nafeth Murad and the employees of the Association, Eng. Manal Barakat, the designer, Eng. Mousa Hijazeen, the contractor, and Mr. Rami Salhab. He also thanked the St. George’s family, its director, and heads of departments. Bishop Naoum concluded his speech by congratulating the students for whom this project was done and by emphasizing the importance of supporting the institutions in Jerusalem that serve our country.
At the end of the inauguration, plaques were distributed to all who contributed in the success of the project, in thanksgiving for their hard work.
رعى غبطة رئيس الأساقفة الأنچليكاني في القدس المطران حسام نعوم افتتاح ملعب القسم الإبتدائي الجديد لمدرسة المطران في القدس وذلك يوم الاثنين 23/1/2023. بحضور القس الكنن وديع الفار نائب رئيس مجلس الإدارة ومدير المدرسة الأستاذ ريتشارد زنانيري ومديرة المرحلة الإبتدائية المربّية دورين أجرب ومديرة الروضة المربية رولا ميكيل ومعلمين وطلاب المدرسة وممثّلين عن الصّناديق والجمعيّات الداعمة.
بعد قصّ الشريط من قِبل المطران نعوم وبعض الطّلاب، رحّب مدير المدرسة الأستاذ زنانيري بالجميع وأعرب عن سروره بانهاء أعمال مشروع الملعب، وكان هناك كلمات لهيئة الصناديق العربيّة وجمعيّة الرّفاه والتّطوير ولمهندسة المشروع وأيضا لأحد طلاب القسم الإبتدائي. وفي كلمته شكر رئيس الأساقفة نعوم كلّ الجهات التي موّلت ودعمت مشروع الملعب، والمصمّمين والمنفّذين. وقدّم شكره بشكل خاص للبنك الإسلامي للتنمية والمهندسة إخلاص الرطروط وطواقمها الفنيّة والإداريّة والمهندس باسل قطينة، وجمعيّة الرّفاه والتطوير ممثلة بالمدير العام المهندس نافذ مراد وأعضاء الهيئة الإدارية للجمعيّة، وللمهندسة منال بركات التي عملت على تصميم المشروع، والمقاول المهندس موسى حجازي والمتعهّد رامي سلهب. كما وشكر أسرة المدرسة، ومديرها ومدراء الاقسام. وبارك للطّلاب والطّالبات الذين من أجلهم تمّت إعادة تأهيل الملعب. كما وأكّد المطران نعوم على أهميّة دعم المؤسّسات في القدس التي تخدم جميع أبناء وبنات الوطن.
وفي الختام تم توزيع الدروع التكريميّة شكراً وعرفاناً لكل من ساهم بإنجاز مشروع ملعب المدرسة.
