In cooperation with the Jordan Hashemite Charity Organization as well as the support of Italian “Non Dalla Guerra” Community and the parishioners of Vicenza, Caritas Jordan has provided aid to those badly affected by the massive earthquake that struck Turkey and Italy which includes food and health kits.
Caritas Jordan has all the time worked tirelessly to fulfill its love message to the poor and the needy through the good work of groups and individuals by offering medical and humanitarian services. Its message is stipulated in serving and developing humans without distinctions in race, color, gender or religion. It has all the time been conveying invaluable service by assisting the poor and needy, providing primary medical services to mothers and children, assisting refugees and displaced in addition to victims of wars and disasters, working with governmental and voluntary corporations as well as with Caritas International members to achieve the desired goals.
One of the most recent outstanding achievements of Caritas Jordan is that it earlier sent a shipment of medicines to Caritas Lebanon in the hope of alleviating the suffering of the ill.
This attitude expressed by Caritas Jordan is worthy gratitude and appreciation as it represents support for the needy brethren in Lebanon and the ill who lost hope in life and fret while looking for suitable medications that heal their ailments and provide them with the panacea that restores to them good health.
It is worthy to note that the first Caritas was established in Freiburg- Germany in 1897, followed by other societies established in Switzerland in 1901 and USA in 1910. Caritas Jordan is a member of International Caritas Confederation and a part of Caritas MONA. Its head offices are in Jordan capital Amman.
