The Latin Patriarchate and its affiliated institutions have conveyed well wishes marking the wedding of Crown Prince Al Hussein Ibn Abdullah II.
In is congratulatory statement, the Latin Patriarchate says: “His Beatitude Pierbattista Pizzaballa, Latin Patriarch of Jerusalem, all the bishops, priests and the faithful, congratulate His Majesty King Abdullah II Ibn Al-Hussein, may God protect him, and the Jordanian people, marking the wedding of His Highness Prince Al-Hussein Ibn Abdullah.”
The Catholic Center for Studies and Media and abouna.org websites have also extended to His Majesty King Abdullah II Ibn Al-Hussein and Her Majesty Queen Rania Al-Abdullah heartfelt congratulations and blessings on the wedding of His Royal Highness Crown Prince Al-Hussein Ibn Abdullah II, wishing His Highness and Miss Rajwa Al Saif happiness.” It states, “May joy last long in our dear homeland, Jordan.
On Wednesday, May 31, 2023, His Majesty King Abdullah II held a dinner banquet marking the wedding of his son, His Royal Highness Crown Prince Al Hussein Ibn Abdullah, in the presence of a number of princes, senior officials both civilians and military, and thousands of members of Jordanian society, including notables of clans, as well as representatives of official, popular, partisan and trade unions.
The banquet was attended by Latin Patriarch of Jerusalem His Beatitude Pierbattista Pizzaballa, Patriarch of the Greek Orthodox Church of Jerusalem Theophilios III, a number of bishops in Jordan and Palestine, some priests representing the official departments of churches, and a number of priests coming from various governorates of the Kingdom, in addition to the heads of Islamic departments in Jordan and Palestine.
