Interview with Fr. Tony Choucry, bursar of the Custody, on the importance of the Good Friday collection
In two weeks’ time, on 29 March, Good Friday will be celebrated, the day dedicated to the collection for the Holy Land.
In this interview, Fr. Tony Choucry, bursar of the Custody, underlines the necessity of the Holy Land Collection and renews the appeal to the faithful throughout the world to support the sanctuaries of the Holy Places and to keep Christians in the Holy Land.
“The Good Friday Collection – says Fr. Tony Choucry – was instituted by the Magisterium of the Church. The Pope sent this exhortation to all Christians around the world to make their participation in the Holy Land. If they cannot come physically, unless their contribution can help the Church present in the Holy Land to be able to carry out its its mission”.
