Bethlehem University faculty and staff members recently participated in a series of international exchange programs as part of the Erasmus+ staff mobility program for teaching and training, fostering collaboration and innovation across various academic disciplines.
Five faculty members from the Tarek Ahmad Juffali Faculty of Nursing and Health Sciences visited Kalisz University’s Faculty of Medicine from 6 to 10 May 2024. This Erasmus+ program focused on building future partnerships between the institutions. Discussions explored joint research projects, student exchange opportunities, and knowledge sharing.
The faculty members actively contributed by delivering lectures in nursing, midwifery, emergency medicine, and other healthcare fields to Kalisz faculty and students. Dr. Hanan Hazboun addressed palliative care and ethical issues, Sr. Mary Yousef presented on the Qubibeh Nursing Program and Palestinian nursing history, Mrs. Fatima Hammad shared insights on women’s health and her research on pregnancy outside of marriage among Palestinian women, Mr. Nouraldin Talbishi covered critical care and cardiac arrest resuscitation, and Mr. Anan Ghabash discussed rehabilitation, occupational therapy, and community engagement initiatives. The visit also included exploring Kalisz University’s facilities, including the simulation center.
