The following speakers will address Congressional staff and answer questions:
The Honorable Hanna Nasser is Mayor Of Bethlehem. Since 1985, he has been the Deputy Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Jerusalem District Electricity Co. Ltd. Since 1997, he has been the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Bethlehem University.
Fr. Majdi al-Siryani, LLD is the legal advisor of the Patriarch of Jerusalem and is director of the Latin Patriarchate’s legal department. Fr. Majdi served the Holy See as a member of its delegation for negotiations with the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO) and Palestinian National Authority (PNA), and has served as General Director of the Latin Patriarchate Schools. He is currently assigned to a parish in Beit Sahour. In 1998, Fr. Majdi received a Ph.D. in law from the Vatican with a specialization in public international law.
Brother Vincent Malham holds a Masters Degree in Choral Conducting from Washington University and a Doctorate in music education from Laval University, Quebec, Canada. He attended Christian Brothers College in Memphis and Southwestern College until 1955 when he joined the Christian Brothers of St. Louis. Following various ministries in teaching and administration, he became Provincial Superior of the St. Louis Province of Christian Brothers in 1990. He became Vice Chancellor of Bethlehem University in 1997 and became President in 1998. He is a member of the Equestrian Order of the Holy Sepulchre of Jerusalem.
