Bishop Riah Abu EL-Assal
Dear Friends,
“Have courage. I have overcome.”
In the face of all human fears Jesus broke the thorn of death and assured us of the eternal triumph of life. As we shake off the cold rains, we find the blossom of spring; search beneath the dark clouds and find the sun; we celebrate with ever renewing hope and a thunder of joy ever believing that:
The broken-hearted will be healed,
Those who mourn, for their beloved who are no more, will be comforted,
Those hungry and thirsty for righteousness will be satisfied,
Peace-makers, children of God, will rise in Christ and help unchain the imprisoned, lift up the persecuted and marginalized, liberate the occupied, set free those in captivity and bless the blind with sight.
Brothers and Sisters,
“Do not abandon yourselves to despair. We are the Easter people and Hallelujah is our song.” John Paul II.
Christ Is Risen. He Is Risen Indeed. Hallelujah.
May you and yours have a most blessed and joyous Easter.
