On Wednesday, August 14, Our Lady of the Holy Valley Choir, coming from the Syrian Governorate of Homs, presented an eve of hymns at the Church of the Good Shepherd/ Our Lady of Peace Center, in cooperation with Caritas Jordan.
This has been the fourth and the last performance within the framework of its tour of the Kingdom which was organized by the Catholic Center for Studies and Media in Jordan as well the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities. The eve included a hymns and songs for peace, love and steadfastness in the homeland.
In attendance were Patriarch Fouad Twal, general supervisor of the choir Bishop Elias Toumeh, parish priest Fr. Shawqi Baterian, CCSM Director Fr. Dr. Rif’at Bader, Fr. Simon Hijazin, a number of nuns, and a large number of people.
During the day, Our Lady of the Holy Valley Choir visited the Baptism Site on the River Jordan and got acquainted with its religious, historic and touristic importance as well as other nearby erected churches. Later, the choir visited the Dead Sea and spent time for entertainment.
The Aleppo Our Lady of the Holy Valley Choir arrived in Amman on Sunday, August 11, at the invitation of the Catholic Center for Studies and Media in Jordan, and held several performances in various parts on Jordan.
